Intercultural Effectiveness: Working with international Students and Scholars at Duke

Description: Presented by the International House. Intercultural effectiveness is based on the premise of respect for individuals and cultural differenecs. Intercultural skills enhance communication, service, delivery, and professional development. This interactive training is designed to assist faculty, department representatives, administrators, office staff, and DSG assistants at Duke.

This session will focus on:
* understanding our own cultural values and beliefs
* improving cross-cultural awareness and communication skills
* developing action steps to better serve international students and scholars
