Hello IHOPlets,

Welcome to Duke! I am Milen and I am from Bulgaria. Some time ago, I was interested in math and sciences, but I happened to do too much of youth/social activism with NGOs (Non-Government Organizations) in Bulgaria and Europe, that I decided to switch to the Social Sciences. I am a Political Science major and I aim at holding a prestigious position in EU governance in less than 15 years from now.

My first experience at Duke was having a weird Mongolian kid for an IHOP (with whome I later became very good friends). Since he is going to be IHOPing this year again, I had to do something so that the new international students who are coming to Duke for the first time (as I was) do not think that all students in our lovely university are like the "Mongolian kid." As you can see, my experience at Duke has been quite positive. I am currently doing the Duke in Russia summer study abroad program which has been great so far. 

Lastly, I remember how lost I fel that time last year. I had tons of questions in the last couple of months before coming to Duke. In case you are in a similar situation, go ahead and shoot me an e-mail! I might be able to offer some valuable information!
