Despite what I thought to be insurmountable expectations for my freshman year, Duke was every bit of what I dreamt it to be and more. And now, after a year, I can still say that Dukie experience that I've had has been the most memorable. Your experience at Duke is what you make it to be; the more often you get yourself out there and invovled, the better and the more rewarding it gets.

For example, some of my hobbies are photography and watching television and I was able to realize these hobbies into activities by joining the Chronicle for a while to take photos for articles and Cable 13, where you are free to even design your own show. The opportunities afforded to us here are incredible and you have to learn to take that first step and seize the day. I hope to help everyone transition well into their first years, so don't be afraid to grab any one of us. Welcome to Duke.
