I was born in Berlin, Germany - pretty much the heart of Europe. Until I turned five, my family stayed in Dresden, which lies on both banks of the river Elbe, a city full of history and beauty that has served as the royal residence for Kings of Saxony for centuries. Then my parents moved back to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia where I have lived ever since in our modest apartment near the city center.
Coming to Duke is the best thing that has happened to me. As soon as I first came here at Duke University, the picturesque Gothic style campus, the amazing Victorian East campus, the Chapel, the Marketplace, the wonderful North Carolina weather and everything else became one part of me. It's been three years since I first got the acceptance letter - which I still cannot believe. Ohhh. Over the past three years, a lot happened and changed my life. President Brodhead. Duke Basketball. New people. Good friends. College life. American culture...
I love sports. I am a huge soccer fan. I bleed red, my heart beats for Manchester United. I am an amateur blogger. In my spare time, I enjoy writing articles and short stories. I love partying, socializing with people and making new friends. Whenever I overcome my laziness, I enjoy cooking for a few. My favorite dish is Lasagna (which I definitely can't make), but I adore Russian cuisine. Ask me questions. Shoot me an e-mail. Add me on facebook. Add me on Skpe (amar2mn). I can't wait to meet you guys in the fall. Have a great summer!
