How I Can Help: BS Biotechnology, Anna University, Chennai, India. PhD Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, Duke University

E-Mail: <sujatha.jagannathan@duke.edu>

I came to Duke in Fall 2006, after finishing my undergrad in Chennai, India. Apart from working in the lab, I like being outdoors, going on occasional hiking trips with the Duke outing club, attending concerts that happen on campus, watch movies with friends or just catch up with folks back home, online. I sing for a local Indian music band here and love our weekend jamming sessions before programs!  I am in the process of becoming as eco-neutral as I can be. I also make time to volunteer with Association for India's Development (AID) and enjoy planning events and co-ordinating projects with the AID team.

In the last two years, I have really found my niche here at Duke and I am sure you will too. Moving so far away from home and trying to root yourself in a new place could be a transforming experience.  If you have any questions about living in Durham or things to do at Duke, drop me an email. I will be more than happy to help you!
