I was originally born in Moscow, Russia, and moved to the United States at the age of 14. I went to high school in Minnesota, undergraduate university in Boston, Massachusetts, and am now in a Ph.D. program at the Medical Physics department. I love to be outdoors (in good weather), cook, sing and dance, learn about cultures, and travel. Duke is a very diverse university, so get to know and become involved in as many different parts of its life as you can. Also make sure to also step outside of campus through travel, community service, and different city events to have a fuller understanding of the local setting.
