Li-Chen manages all aspects of I-House operation.  She came to Duke in July 2008 from Bryn Mawr College, where she spent nearly 10 years assisting international students and scholars as well as advising undergraduates interested in studying abroad.  Born and raised in Taiwan, Li-Chen came to the U.S. in 1989 to pursue graduate studies at the University of Oregon.  Her own experience as an international student sparked her interest in international education administration.  At Duke, she plans to work with academic departments and administrative offices to enhance the programs and services I-House offers to the international community as well as the university at large.

Li-Chen and her husband Chris live in Durham with their children (including two dogs).  A classical musician by training, Li-Chen plays piano and clarinet.  She also likes to cook, read, watch movies, and spend time outdoors.
