Graduate Student Position: International House
Work Study Position: Services Coordinator
, 5 – 10 hours per week


Job Description: Services Coordinator

Coordinate various trips for the international community at Duke
•    Take students and scholars to the local Social Security office on a weekly basis, Wednesdays at 10:00am.
•    Coordinate monthly trips to the Department of Motor Vehicles.  Drive International House 12-passenger van.
•    Conduct scholar orientations with new visiting scholars weekdays at 11:00am.
•    On occasion, take new scholars to look at apartments, local furniture store, turn on utilities or enroll students in school.


Additional Responsibilities
•    Oversees the update of International House handouts on a regular basis
•    Enter new scholar information in International House database
•    Oversee periodic cleaning of loan closet/linen closet


Preferred Experience & Skills
Must be sensitive and patient working with people from other cultures
Microsoft Office, Excel and File maker Pro knowledge preferred but not necessary
Must have a valid US drivers license with at least three years of driving experience.
Some evening and weekend work required

Wages
Pay is $10 per hour
